    I’ve been retired since 2006 and have read a lot of retirement books. Some, especially the ones about finance, can scare you if you let them. I’ve seen a few optimistic books, and this one is optimistic and practical too. The chapter on finance gives you choices and strategies and leaves it up to you to determine how much money you’ll need during retirement, and which strategy works best for your financial situation. Beyond that chapter, I’ve not read much yet, but the author is retired and is enjoying it immensely, judging from the tone of this book. It’s an encouraging book, one I’ll keep and refer to occasionally.

    This was a gift for my mom for her retirement party. She is petite so we had to use a safety pin so the sash would stay in place. But it was really cute and she loved wearing it.
