This book is a great follow up of the original Tax Free Retirement by Patrick Kelly. This is a must read book for everyone, especially if you are in the Financial Industry and is offering Indexed Universal Life Insurance to your clients. It detailed the characteristics and living benefits of Indexed Universal Life. Also it has a chapter on how to save those who are already in their retirement or those who are about to retire. The solution, Indexed Annuities.

Buy this if you want to know how different investment vehicles will work for you…It is not meant to be advice on where to put your money…as Kelly states in the forward…but it is meant to clarify all the options of diversification because “everybody’s finances are as unique as their own fingerprints” (as Kelly puts it) Dispell the myths of previous bad investment advisory and get educated! Read the story of bill in his previous book “Tax Free Retirement” To find out options that might be Better for you. Especially if you are over funding your 401k. Kelley Educates the reader in layman-esque…Understandable terminology that you don’t have to forward to your tax “guy”… for interpretation. If you ever wanted a book without a bunch of industry jargon and some real down to earth explanations of how our systems of savings work… this is the book to check out!

As a 22 year verteran in the financial planning business I know that life insurance is one of the least understood and least appreciated assets classes. Unfortunately this is largely due to the people that sell it, stretching the truth and using half-facts. Patrick Kelly is a welcome change. In “The Retirement Miracle” Kelly does an excellent job in explaining the mechanics of both universal life and indexing. He feels no need for exageration and hyperbole.

I began reading the book one night when I couldn’t sleep. I thought I would read a few chapters and go back to bed. I ended up reading it cover to cover before falling asleep. I give this book to all of my prospects that are considering an investment in IUL. My intention is not to “pre-sell” but to educate them on how the products work. This book does does both.
