Mutual Fund is quite hard to comprehend but after reading this book from a friend who recently purchased a copy of this, I was able to understand it much better. I am considering to start earning money through mutual funds prior to reading this book but I am hesitant to start. I actually don’t know how to begin. All I know is that it could potentially generate more money. This book patches the gray areas of my hesitations. It actually gave me a whole new perspective about mutual funds- on how to identify factors for holding an investment, and when to withdraw your money for a gain. Entering the worlds of stocks and bonds need a loaded amount of effort and intelligence. I learned that I need to study and do more researches before any bold step is taken- in short a more strategized planning. This is a great book for beginners like me. I am happy that I had a chance to read this.

This is a good book on mutual funds which helped me understand so many things about it. As I was interested to make some investments on mutual funds, I bought this book so that before investing I could have good knowledge on them. After reading this book I got brief knowledge on mutual funds, its pros and cons, and different types of funds that I could do investments on. I found chapter 3 more informative as it tells how to choose the right fund manager. As per the author this is the most important investment decision that need to be done and one must do proper research before investing in anything. Recommended if you are planning to do some investment on mutual funds.

Me and my wife might consider venturing mutual funds investment. This book cited the advantages and disadvantages of investing in mutual funds. The type of mutual funds we’re going to look at is the money market funds as it is comparatively low risk. We would then consider the other types of investment if our trial investment succeeds.

While mutual funds are far from obscure it is surprisingly difficult find a textbook on the subject, even though this reads more like a handbook. The author is meticulous in his details in reviewing the components of the fund industry. They even cover ETF’s and Hedge products. I especially liked the perspectives on working in different parts of the business. For teachers out there the publisher also has accompanying powerpoint slides that go with the text. There are 2 other older versions of this book, while they are not all that different I have found the updates useful and sufficient. Great for classroom use or if you are curious about the inner workings of the fund industry
